I do not use non-hybrid seeds, but I have no problem with them. The reason I use hybrids is because they usually outperform in all categories (bigger yields, better tasting, disease resistant etc.) vs. heirloom seeds. Therefore, if I am going to take the time to grow it, I want the best shot at getting the fruits of my labors. Personally, I am most concerned with the disease resistant properties of hybrid plants. If you save your seeds then you should not buy hybrids since they can't be used for seed. Only heirloom seeds will reproduce from its seeds. In my opinion, that would be the only reason why I would specifically buy heirloom seeds instead of hybrids.

I'm so excited to know you're here, especially for next year when so I will know exactly when to plant indoors so my plants will look like yours. I wondered if you use, or recommend non hybrid plants?
